Peran Strategis Foot Core Muscle dalam Meningkatkan Stabilitas Postural pada Pasien Osteoartritis Lutut: Suatu Tinjauan Literatur Berbasis Mekanisme Biomekanik dan Neuromuskular

Osteoartritis lutut (osteoarthritis knee/KOA) merupakan kondisi degeneratif sendi yang berdampak signifikan terhadap stabilitas postural, mobilitas fungsional, dan peningkatan risiko jatuh. Gangguan stabilitas pada KOA tidak hanya disebabkan oleh kerusakan struktural sendi, tetapi juga oleh penurunan propriosepsi, perubahan aktivasi neuromuskular, serta gangguan biomekanik sepanjang rantai kinetik ekstremitas bawah. Selama ini, intervensi rehabilitasi lebih banyak berfokus pada penguatan otot lutut dan core proksimal, sementara kontribusi foot core muscle sebagai stabilisator distal masih relatif kurang dieksplorasi. Tinjauan literatur naratif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran foot core muscle dalam stabilisasi postural pada pasien KOA berdasarkan mekanisme biomekanik dan neuromuskular. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan bahwa otot intrinsik kaki berperan penting dalam mempertahankan medial longitudinal arch, mengontrol pusat tekanan (center of pressure), serta meningkatkan input sensorimotor yang esensial bagi keseimbangan. Integrasi latihan foot core muscle dalam rehabilitasi KOA berpotensi meningkatkan stabilitas postural, fungsi fungsional, serta menurunkan risiko jatuh. Pendekatan ini mendukung model rehabilitasi holistik berbasis integrasi stabilitas distal–proksimal.
